Indian Summer & The End of the Ferry Season

September has been a mild month considering we’re now officially in Autumn. I’ve had a few trips to the West Coast, including Ardmair on a VERY wet day. But in general the usually pleasant Moray microclimate has delivered. The end of September marks the end of the Nigg-Cromarty Ferry season – so no more cheap trips to Cromarty until Spring.

It’s been a steady month with a bit of everything. Diet is going well (5:2 fasting + only eating when hungry) – lost 3.5kg over the month. Had a date! Got more work done on the man-shed. Volunteered at a couple of Repair Cafes. And as usual, had the camera by my side most of the time.

From now on, I’ll be including a photo in every blog post which may or may not summarise the month. The one above depicts an atmospheric sunset over the Cromarty Firth – spot the lone fisherman on the beach.
