Bio

Originally from Lincolnshire,UK – I lived in Yorkshire for many years, but I recently retired to the very North of Scotland.

I’m a retired Software Engineer. I have some home development projects – my favourite one of these is analysing the UK’s Met Office historic weather data (see my Climate page here). I’m also fascinated by the maths associated with the 3D geometry of Maps & GPS.

I’m a musician. Until recently I was the Bass Guitarist in a long standing Pop/Rock covers band Mark IV. I now satisfy my musical urges by writing music in my home studio. I’ve just registered as an artist on Bandcamp. Here’s my page. I also repair musical instruments and valve amplifiers.

I love Motoring & Motorsport. I follow Formula 1 & FIA World Endurance Championship. I have been to the Le Mans 24 Hour Race several times and hope to go again soon.

I previously owned and maintained a classic car, an old (1990) Porsche 911.

I ride a motorcycle as often as I possibly can.

And finally…… I attempt to record all of my adventures in the above activities on camera.
